If a direct move is not possible and a dog has to come into the rescue, they will stay in our home but as we do not have any kennels, space is very limited.

If we do not have room, we will place a rescue dog into a temporary foster home or if we have any boxers in need of urgent rehoming and no foster home is available, we will put them into boarding kennels but that is always as a last resort.

We will always try to help any boxers anywhere who are in need of a new permanent loving home.

So, please take a few minutes just to have a look around our website and have a read of some of the pages like doggy tails, useful links, why we need donations or the myths and truths about white boxers.

We hope that your wander around our website is informative but if you need any help, please feel free to ask us by using our contact form.

Jackie and Pete.

We also advise all new owners to let their new pet settle in for a couple of days before meeting your friends and family and not to let him or her off the lead until they have had time to ajust to their new surroundings and the sound of your voice.

MAY WE ASK YOU TO PLEASE READ THIS LITTLE BIT ABOUT US AND

HOW WE WORK BEFORE VIEWING THE REST OF OUR WEBSITE.

Jackie Drew has been involved with boxer rescue for over 30 years and runs Thames Valley Boxer Rescue along with her partner, Peter Gillies.

Anyone who has moved home will know what a stressful a time that is and it can cause an animal maybe more stress and confusion because they don't know what is happening to them. We try to ease this by moving our dogs from their present home direct to their new one whenever that is possible and always during daylight hours. This allows the dog to get familiar with the new home like knowing where the door is to the garden etc.
